SAT scores open the doors to some of the world’s most prestigious educational institutions, including US universities and other English-language universities around the world.

The SAT can be daunting for students. For those studying outside the US, and those whose native language is not English, it can be even more daunting. For parents who have not taken the test themselves, it can be difficult to know how best to assist their children and prepare them for success.

When I first contacted Jennifer for help with the GMAT, I really had a long way to go. She went above and beyond to help me prepare for the exam, offering not only academic support, but also moral and practical support and information on the test and what to expect. She truly focused on the areas where I most needed it. Jennifer’s help made all the difference on test day.

Our SAT Expertise began 20 years ago

Jennifer Post Draeger, Bright Outlook’s founder, received a perfect score on the verbal section of the test and a 99th percentile score on the math, as a high school student in the US. Jennifer was recognized as a National Merit Scholar, in the same Scholar class as Chelsea Clinton.

The SAT has changed to be more relevant to the skills students need to succeed in university, including reading about and applying mathematics to diverse topics (the sciences, the social sciences, history and literature). The SAT is different now—and I think it’s better.

In 2018, Jennifer put the Bright Outlook method to the test, by retaking the SAT alongside high school students in Berlin. She wanted to experience what her students do when facing the exam. Her scores remained in the 99th percentile (1580 total), but more importantly, she gained new insights to share with Bright Outlook students.
