Our SAT Expertise began over 20 years ago
Jennifer Post Draeger, Bright Outlook’s founder, received a perfect score on the verbal section of the test and a 99th percentile score on the math, as a high school student in the US. Jennifer was recognized as a National Merit Scholar, in the same Scholar class as Chelsea Clinton.
The SAT has changed to be more relevant to the skills students need to succeed in university, including reading about and applying mathematics to diverse topics (the sciences, the social sciences, history and literature). The SAT is different now—and I think it’s better.
In 2018, Jennifer put the Bright Outlook method to the test, by retaking the SAT alongside high school students in Berlin. She wanted to experience what her students do when facing the exam. Her scores remained in the 99th percentile (1580 total), but more importantly, she gained new insights to share with Bright Outlook students.
